Vladimir, who recently turned fourteen, is the adopted son of Father Alexander and Matushka Svetlana Antoshkin. Fr. Alexander is Rector of the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Zvenigorod in the Moscow region. Vladimir’s parents are deceased. The Antoshkins adopted both Vladimir and his sister two years ago. Vladimir will be accompanied by Fr. Alexander and Matushka Svetlana’s 27-year-old daughter Maria Antoshkina. Maria works for an Orthodox publication. They will stay at the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park.
